InSinkErator steams into 2008 with strong 1st quarter sales
Ashley Munden, sales and marketing director for InSinkErator, said: “Instant hot water taps are a relatively new category in the UK, but have made a huge impact in the market. Since its launch in March 2007, our 98 deg Steaming Hot Water Tap has experienced phenomenal growth and is now the product of choice for many independent kitchen professionals, and key national retailers such as Magnet and John Lewis.
“The market for kitchens is evolving, with functionality now playing as critical a role as design. Our products are manufactured to make best use of space, as well as providing maximum convenience for consumers; making them an ideal choice for a wide range of kitchens, large or small.”
Kitchen stockists are increasingly interested in products that add value, giving kitchens a new and different dimension. InSinkErator’s range of sink appliances meets this growing trend, providing customers with an added level of convenience.
InSinkErator’s 1st quarter sales have also been fuelled by an increased focus on household rubbish separation, and more specifically food waste. Composting is a traditional solution in the UK; however not all food waste is compatible with this method, and it is not always possible or convenient, for example in high density urban areas. Food waste disposers can work hand-in-hand with, or provide a viable alternative to, composting. This simple appliance diverts kitchen food waste away from landfill, a major contributor of climate change gases.
