What is a steaming hot water tap?

InSinkErator's Steaming Hot Water Taps come in two models. The GN1100 model dispenses instant 98ºc filtered hot water whilst the HC1100 model provides the additional benefit of cold filtered water as well as 98ºc filtered hot water.

The Steaming Hot Water Tap can be easily fitted to an existing kitchen sink or work surface. Water from the mains feeds via a filter to a 2.5l tank mounted discreetly beneath your sink, where it’s then heated to 98˚C. The tap can deliver approximately 100 cups of 98˚c hot water per hour, using less energy than a 40 Watt light bulb.  

It’s safe, too, with an ergonomic design and a ‘snap-shut’ safety lever to prevent accidental use.
